Between 24 and 26 September 2026, a Polish-Pakistani jazz trio performed a series of three concerts at the residence of Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan and as part of the International Jazz Festival in Islamabad and Lahore.

The trio, comprising Mikołaj Poncyljusz, Dani Khan and Tymon Trąbczyński, presented an original repertoire combining Polish jazz traditions with elements of traditional Pakistani music. A distinctive feature of the performances was the use of the tabla – a traditional local percussion instrument whose characteristic sound gave the compositions a unique character.

The concerts were organised by the Embassy of Poland in Islamabad in cooperation with Jazz Po Polsku Foundation and the Pakistani Foundation for Arts, Culture & Education (FACE).

The events attracted several hundred guests, including representatives of the Pakistani authorities, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the cultural and business communities, journalists, as well as members of the local Polish community.

The concerts provided an excellent opportunity to promote Polish cultural heritage in Pakistan, and contributed to strengthening Polish-Pakistani cooperation and intercultural dialogue.
