The existing and popular Bell of Happiness at Faber Peak has been complemented with a commemorative bell of “Dar Młodzieży” tall ship. The new bell was offered to Singapore by Poland in appreciation of its long-lasting friendship and to reflect the maritime traditions of the two nations.

The event commemorated 50 years of Polish-Singaporean diplomatic relationship and the first anniversary of the port of call to Singapore by the world-famous Polish tall ship “Dar Młodzieży”.

The tall ship visited the city state in October 2018, halfway through its Independence Cruise around the globe to celebrate 100 years of regaining Poland’s Independence. With more than one hundred youth ambassadors onboard, “Dar Młodzieży” was moored at VivoCity Waterfront Promenade for four days and welcomed thousands of Singaporeans who visited the ship and participated in festivities onboard.

The commemorative “Dar Młodzieży” bell is now placed atop Faber Peak along with the first “Bell of Happiness” - linked to the predecessor of “Dar Młodzieży”- the majestic training ship called “Dar Pomorza”, known also as the “White Frigate.” The bell inscribed “Dar Pomorza” was gifted to Sentosa Island in 1992 and became one of the attractions of Faber Peak that is believed to bring good fortune to newlyweds. Now, the two magnificent bells whose origin is traced to two illustrious frigates are brought together as “Poland’s Bells of Happiness” at the rearranged garden at Faber Peak to chime “double happiness” blessings to its visitors.
