Poland's first year of active participation in the Francophonie Festival in Singapore
Organised by the Group of the Ambassadors of the Francophonie in Singapore the event brings together 22 foreign missions, and numerous local partner organisations.
This was the first year of Poland’s active participation in the festival, centred in 2023 around the sport, as a main theme.
The Embassy presented an inspiring documentary movie ”Art of Freedom” on Polish mountaineers and their expeditions to the Himalayas marked by ingenuity and solidarity, their spectacular winter ascents which rocked the whole alpine world, tremendous inspiration and overcoming human limits.
The screening was attended by both Polish and Singaporean communities including a large group of members from the students' NUS Mountaineering Club.
The festive atmosphere reigned also the Polish stall during Francophonie-Eat Day.
Participants had an opportunity to taste and buy Polish delicacies presented by Polish lady entrepreneurs (Sedno, Taste of Poland and PolAnka) – handmade bread, dumplings, pączki, organic jams, pickles, and many more.
