Polish stall at the Singapore Red Cross International Bazaar 2023

On November 18, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland participated in the Singapore Red Cross International Bazaar 2023 - a charity event aimed at raising funds for SCR’s local humanitarian services.

The bazaar themed "One World United in Humanity" was officially opened by the Guest-of-Honour, Patron of the Singapore Red Cross, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam in the presence of 40 ambassadors, high commissioners and representatives of foreign missions. The Polish Embassy was represented by Ilona Korchut, Chargé d'affaires a.i.

The all-day event, which took place on one of the most famous streets in Singapore - Orchard Road, presented  80 stalls set up by 20 diplomatic corps, local and international enterprises, civic groups and schools.

Participants of the event could indulge in delicacies from different parts of the world and purchase a wide variety of souvenirs while enjoying also all-day performances prepared by local and foreign artist groups.

The Embassy’s stall offered visitors a delightful taste of traditional Polish dishes - dumplings, home-baked cakes and bread. There were also Polish juices and alcohol, jams, sweets, handmade Christmas decorations, pottery and cosmetics available for sale.

Polish team raised a total of 2,955.00 Singapore dollars which, with all funds raised during the International Bazaar, will go towards SRC’s local humanitarian services for vulnerable communities such as persons with disabilities, single elderly, lower-income families and migrant workers.

Organisation of the Polish stall was supported by donations of goods from Best of Poland, Sedno Food, Polanin Beer and Twobeets plus support of Taste of Poland Sg, PolAnka, Kasia Bakes Pl and volunteers from the Polish community.
