BEWARE of disinformation campaigns

The special services are receiving signals about the possibility of an increased number of attempted cyber-attacks and disinformation campaigns in the coming days, aimed at disrupting the preparations and course of the elections to the Parliament of the Republic of Poland on October 15 this year. The first phase of this campaign is already ongoing.
These efforts, including communication via popular Internet communicators and social media platforms, contain bogus information falsely implying they are official messages from political parties participating in the election campaign.
The nature of the content distributed, which also uses deliberately fabricated websites or social media accounts, indicates inspiration from the Russian Federation.
Therefore, the Government Plenipotentiary for the Security of the Information Space of the Republic of Poland and the Internal Security Agency recommend paying attention to the sources of information received and using only verified, official internet domains of political parties, as well as the websites of the National Electoral Office and the National Electoral Commission.
