07.05.2024
On 6 May, the Minister for Special Services Coordination, Tomasz Siemoniak, participated in the Defence24 Days conference. This two-day event is a key occasion in Central and Eastern Europe, dedicated to crucial defence and security issues.
Minister Siemoniak’s participation in the panel ‘Poland’s Security – a Challenge for the Special Services’ brought significant reflections on the role of special services in the current security landscape. The panel, conducted in a ‘fire chat’ format, was moderated by Paweł Poncyljusz.
As the Minister emphasised, an effective and well-functioning state, in addition to a strong army, also needs efficient special services:
The obvious conclusion is strength. Apart from a strong army, one must also have strong special services which, in the event of any threats, will be able to act with great efficiency.
