We are witnessing an unprecedented aggression of Belarus against Poland and the whole European Union. The weapon used in this hostile activity are migrants. With a silent support and approval of his patron – Russian president Vladimir Putin – Alexander Lukashenko has enticed thousands of them to come to Belarus and then funnelled them to the EU borders, often with the escort of uniformed troops with guns. The biggest migratory pressure is currently on Poland, after the regime in Minsk redirected its earlier focus from Lithuania and Latvia. Lukashenko opened this artificial migratory route out of revenge for international sanctions imposed on Minsk and the support given to the democratic opposition in Belarus. It is a hybrid warfare where the Belarusian state apparatus is cynically using the migrants, staging dangerous provocations against the Polish border guards and soldiers and conducting aggressive disinformation campaigns. EU and NATO, whose borders with Belarus are in fact the very borders Poland, Latvia and Lithuania have with Belarus, share this assessment. They realize that our efforts to prevent the 2014/2015 European migrant crisis from happening again now are indispensable.

Joint operation of the Internal Security Agency (ABW), the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Białystok and the Police, has led to detention of Joanna S. and Mikael S., suspected of large-scale fraud connected to fictitious trades of works of art. The suspects were detained by the Spanish Police on 20 October 2021. The investigation is international.

Poland’s Internal Security Agency officers, at the request of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office, have detained a man suspected of secret collaboration with Belarusian intelligence services.

Among the people who have illegally crossed the Polish border with Belarus and thus entered the territory of Poland there is a considerable number of those who have a criminal record and pose a serious threat to national security. These are the findings of competent Polish services in charge of investigating the background and origins of foreigners who have been detained by the Polish Border Guard in recent weeks. As many as two thirds of these illegal migrants have been selected for further, “deep” verification due to the information suggesting they may put the security of Poland at risk.

On June 23rd, 2021, Poland’s Internal Security Agency detained Bartosz K. serving as the president of the management board of the company SILK ROAD BIURO ANALIZ I INFORMACJI Sp. z o.o. The man is suspected of attestation of a untruth and money laundering.

The Internal Security Agency detained Michał N., suspected of promoting totalitarianism. An investigation in this case was initiated after a notification sent to the prosecutor's office by the Head of the Internal Security Agency.

The analysis of the ongoing Ghostwriter influence campaign made by Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) has shown that the hackers have also targeted the e-mail system of the Sejm – the lower house of the Polish Parliament.

Internal Security Agency (ABW) officers detained 3 people dealing with legalizing money from criminal activities. As a result of the practice in which the detained persons participated, over PLN 1 billion in total was "laundered". Most of the funds supplied to the companies used in the framework of the group's operations came from the territory of Russia.

Recent efforts made by Poland's secret services are example of an efficient response to the Russian capabilities to carry out aggressive information warfare activities against Poland.

The suspect’s activities remained in line with the Russian information warfare activities aimed at weakening the position of Poland within the EU and in the international arena.
