Opening of New Military Counterintelligence Service Inspectorates
21.01.2025
On 1 January 2025, four new Inspectorates were established within the Military Counterintelligence Service.
In a rapidly changing security environment, the Military Counterintelligence Service seeks to respond to new challenges and to enhance counterintelligence protection. This includes, among other things, the establishment of new regional units — Inspectorates — in four cities: Bydgoszcz, Olsztyn, Rzeszów and Wrocław, as well as five new field posts.
On 20 January 2025, the Minister — Member of the Council of Ministers — Coordinator of Special Services, officially opened the Wrocław facility in the presence of the Head of the Military Counterintelligence Service, Brigadier General Jarosław Stróżyk.
At the press briefing he stated:
Poland’s special services are expanding and strengthening. This is the policy of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government. Wrocław has gained two strong facilities in a matter of months: the Internal Security Agency Delegation and the Military Counterintelligence Service Inspectorate, both with ambitious development plans. The strength of our state comes from the strength of the Military Counterintelligence Service and the special services.
The Military Counterintelligence Service Inspectorate is located at the 4th Regional Logistics Base in Wrocław, covering the Śląskie and Opolskie Voivodeships and part of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, with two regional posts reporting to it, in Opole and, eventually, Żagań.
