Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented nominations to the heads of special services, designated on 19 December 2023

Colonel Rafał Syrysko, previously active in the counterintelligence and internal security divisions as well as serving as plenipotentiary for the protection of classified information in the Office for State Protection and the Internal Security Agency, has become the Head of the Internal Security Agency.

Colonel Paweł Szota, who has served for 24 years — initially as an officer of the UOP and subsequently with the Intelligence Agency — remains as the Head of the Intelligence Agency.

The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau will be led by Agnieszka Kwiatkowska-Gurdak, who has been connected with uniformed services for 20 years — first as a Police officer and, since 2015, with the Bureau delegation in Bydgoszcz.

The Military Counterintelligence Service will be headed by General Jarosław Stróżyk, whose experience includes serving as Defence Attaché at the Polish Embassy in Washington and Deputy Director of the NATO International Military Staff.

Colonel Dorota Kawecka remains as the Head of the Military Intelligence Service; she has been serving since 2002, with experience in analytics, SIGINT radio-electronic intelligence, and the foreign service of the Military Diplomatic Corps in London.

The Prime Minister appointed the new heads after consulting the College and the Sejm Special Services Committee, as well as the President of Poland.
