Puolan perustuslain hyväksymisen 232. vuosipäivää sekä Puolan diasporan ja ulkomaanpuolalaisten päivää juhlittiin 9. toukokuuta Puolan suurlähettilään residenssissä Helsingissä

Puolan kulttuuriperintöpäivien tavoitteena on edistää puolalaista kulttuuria ja perintöä ja vaikuttaa kulttuuri-, talous- ja yhteiskuntaelämään Suomessa. Osana tätä Kanta-Helsingin kansalliset seniorit ry:n jäsenet vierailivat Puolan suurlähettilään residenssissä.

Puolalaisen yhteisön edustajat valmistivat puolalaisia herkkuja ja esittelivät ne Helsingin kansainvälisen koulun (ISH) messuilla.

To inaugurate the Polish Heritage Days in Finland, Finnish Minister of Culture Petri Honkonen and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Piotr Rychlik visited the exhibition of Polish sculptor Radosław Gryta at the Saarijärvi Museum.

The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising was the largest & most heroic act of armed resistance taken up by the Jews in WWII.

The uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto was the first large-city uprising and at the same time the largest uprising of the Jewish population during the German occupation. In the afternoon of April 19, 1943, in the fortress of the Jewish Military Union at Muranowski Square, in a symbolic gesture, on the roof of the building, the militants placed the white and red flag of Poland and the white and blue flag of the JMU. This image of two flags - Polish white and red and Zionist white and blue - waving together on the roof of the building above the fighting ghetto, became a symbol of the inextricably intertwined Polish-Jewish fates.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs has launched a contest for the best foreign-language publication promoting Poland’s history and the best Polish-language publication on the history of Polish diplomacy released in 2022. Authors are invited to submit their books by 1 June 2023.
