Polish Authorities inform about severe restrictions on entry to Poland and the European Union. Illegal border crossing is a risk of money loss, incarceration and deportation - EN, AR.

The Polish Government warns against dishonest "travel agencies" and organized groups of human traffickers – the use of their services may lead to the loss of all financial means. Illegal attempts of European Union border crossing are a risk of incarceration and severe fines, compulsory deportation and the prohibition of entry to Poland and the territory of the entire Schengen zone.
Persons who are not authorized to cross the external border of the European Union will not be allowed to enter the territory of the Republic of Poland. Cross border traffic between Poland and neighbouring non-EU member states has been restricted.
State borders of the Republic of Poland with neighbouring non-EU member states are strongly controlled and secured. A section of 1200 km of the eastern state border of the Republic of Poland has recently been reinforced with additional border guard and military forces. Special security measures have been introduced at the border with Belarus.
Legal entry into the territory of the European Union over the border of the Republic of Poland requires the permission of the Border Guard. The permission to enter and a Polish visa may only be granted to persons travelling to Poland for an important purpose such as work or study. The documents are examined very scrupulously. An attempt to use forged documents will be persecuted and may lead to even up to 5 years of incarceration. Presenting false information about the country of origin and attempts to obtain the refugee status based on false grounds will also be persecuted and may lead to conviction and fines. Within the framework of the European legislation Poland is entitled to require the persons requesting asylum to cover the financial obligations related to social provisions in their entirety or part.
Comprehensive and accurate information about entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland is provided solely by the Polish consulates. We warn against the use of other sources available in the internet, social media, communication applications and travel agencies – they may purposefully misguide in order to prompt the payment for the traffickers for their illegitimate services.
Do not be deceived. Do not risk the loss of your funds. Do not expose yourself to incarceration, fines or deportation.
