Somali non-governmental organisation the Elman Peace and Human Rights Centre (EPHRC) has been awarded the Pro Dignitate Humana 2020 prize. One of the organisation’s most important achievements is successfully counteracting radicalisation and brutal religious extremism.

There are at least 200,000 of them globally. They devote their time, health, and sometimes lives to save the others in the most remote corners of the world.

On 15 August 2020 we solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw – a culminating point of the Polish-Soviet War (1919-1920) and one of the most decisive events in the history of Poland, Europe, and the world.

44th session of the Human Rights Council was held in Geneva from June 30 to July 17, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Council worked in the so-called hybrid formula combining the physical and online participation of delegates in the meetings. It was the second session, in which Poland participated as the Human Rights Council member state during its term 2020-2022

On July 1st 2020 Poland takes the lead in the Visegrad Group. "Back on track" will be the motto of this Polish Presidency.

Seventy five years after the end of the Second World War, we pay tribute to its victims. We remember the indomitable struggle of the Polish nation against Nazi Germany throughout the conflict in Europe, lasting from September 1939 to May 1945.
