Conference of the Paying Agencies of the Baltic States and Poland
26.09.2025
From 24-26 September 2025, representatives of the Agriculture Restructurisation and Modernisation Agency (ARMA) took part in the Conference of the Paying Agencies of the Baltic States and Poland, held under the theme "Innovation and Technology - the Key Enabler of the Agricultural and Rural Development Strategic Plan 2023-2027". This year's event was hosted by the Lithuanian Paying Agency (NMA).
As in previous years, the meeting was attended by representatives of the paying agencies of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The Polish delegation was represented by: Mr. Marek Budzich,
Vice President of ARMA, Mr. Tomasz Waźbiński, Deputy Director in the President’s Office responsible for International Cooperation, Mr. Adam Andrzejewski, Deputy Director at Agro Aplikacje,
and Mr. Marek Cybulski from ARMA’s IT Management Department.
The key themes of this year’s conference, presented in a series of presentations as well as engaging discussions, focused on innovation in agriculture, best agricultural practices, and the use of artificial intelligence in the functioning of EU paying agencies.
One of the agenda points was a presentation prepared jointly by Agro Aplikacje and ARMA’s IT Management Department entitled “The Farmer’s Portal as the Foundation of the Digital Transformation of Polish Agriculture”
This year’s conference provided the occasion for a Cooperation Agreement to be signed between
the Agriculture Restructurisation and Modernisation Agency and the Lithuanian National Paying Agency.
Like previous agreements, it expresses the shared commitment to intensifying cooperation in the agricultural sector and represents an important step toward further strengthening bilateral relations, enabling a deeper mutual exchange of knowledge and experience.
The meeting was an excellent opportunity to deepen bilateral relations and explore new areas
of cooperation. Close ties between Poland and Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia provide clear evidence
of a shared commitment to rural development and the valuable exchange of knowledge between paying agencies. ARMA has maintained close relations with the Lithuanian NMA since 2006.
