06.11.2025
On 6th November 2025, the Agriculture Restructurisation and Modernisation Agency (ARMA) welcomed a group of journalists from Serbia taking part in the programme "Puls of Europe - Media Trips to the EU.”
The visit aimed to provide the guests with a closer look at the process of European integration and EU accession, and to discuss the adjustments Serbia needs to make in order to align its legislation, institutions and administrative procedures with EU standards. The programme also focuses on sharing experiences and examples of the benefits that EU membership has brought to the new Member States.
The Serbian media were represented by journalists from major TV and radio stations as well as agricultural online portals. The meeting was attended by members of the Serbian project team and, on behalf of ARMA, by Tomasz Waźbiński, Deputy Director of the President’s Office, and representatives of the International Relations and European Projects Unit, Dawid Ciupak, Head of Unit, and Jerzy Bogdanowicz.
During the meeting, the guests learned about the history and main activities of ARMA, including the implementation of EU and national support schemes for agriculture, rural development, agri-food processing, fisheries, aquaculture and local infrastructure.
They were also introduced to the structure and functioning of an accredited agricultural paying agency, and were presented with key figures showing the scale of ARMA’s operations under completed and ongoing programmes.
The information that over 520 billion PLN in support has been provided through ARMA to Polish farmers and rural communities made a strong impression on the visitors from Serbia.
