Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Australia, Michał Kołodziejski and Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney, Monika Kończyk wish to express their gratitude and appreciation to Dr George Łuk-Kozika OAM for 25 years of his dedicated work for the Polish consular service.

For many years Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Victoria George Łuk-Kozika has closely cooperated with Polish community in his consular district, developing and strengthening friendly relations between Poles and Australians, and supporting promotion of the Polish economy, science and culture in Australia. Polish community organizations and the Polish foreign service could always rely on his support and competence. Dedication and service of the Honorary Consul General Łuk-Kozika was recognized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, who in a personal letter expressed his gratitude to the Consul for his contribution to creating a positive image of Poland and Poles in Australia.

Honorary Consul General Łuk-Kozika’s term in office ends on 27 September 2020. Farewell ceremony will be organized after loosening coronavirus restrictions in Victoria.

On behalf of the entire team of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Canberra and the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney, we would like to thank Honorary Consul General Łuk-Kozika for his cooperation and wish him good health and high spirits in these difficult times of global pandemic.

New honorary consul in Melbourne will be announced once the accreditation process is finalized.
