Important Notice Regarding the Situation in the Middle East

Due to flight cancellations caused by the closure of airspace in many Middle Eastern countries, the consular and diplomatic missions in Canberra and Sydney have received numerous inquiries and messages from Polish citizens staying in Australia.

We would like to remind you that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland advises against all travel to and through countries in the region (in particular: Iran, Iraq, Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates).

We kindly ask you to follow the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • Stay in contact with your airline or travel agency
  • Follow the “Polak za granicą” (Pole Abroad) social media profiles (X, FB)
  • Monitor the website and social media channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Register in the Odyseusz system

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched an additional hotline for Polish citizens: +48 22 523 8880 (available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Polish time).
