09.03.2026

Representatives of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), Polish universities (Jagiellonian University, Poznań University of Economics, and Białystok University of Technology), and the Conference of Rectors of Polish Academic Schools (CRASP) met with Polish diaspora at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney.

The photo shows six people sitting on a stage, one of them holding a microphone, with the Polish, Australian, and European Union flags in the background.

During the event on March 5th, young people and their parents had a chance to learn about study opportunities in Poland. Additionally, detailed information on selected research programs from both countries was also provided to representatives of the academic community, students and individuals planning to study or conduct research in Poland. NAWA representatives presented key academic programs, discussed scholarship opportunities for students, doctoral candidates, as well as programs related to research and the development of scientific events at Polish universities and research institutes.

The event focused on the scholarship programs and their impact on study opportunity in Poland in Polish or in English. Application procedures, formal requirements, and deadlines were also presented. Participants had the chance to ask questions about recruitment procedures, living and studying conditions in Poland, and provided support to scholarship recipients.

A vital purpose of NAWA’s study trip to Australia was building cooperation between Polish universities and foreign institutions. Information on the application procedures was presented, highlighting the fact that Poland is becoming an increasingly attractive place for studying and conducting research. A discussion meeting and individual consultations were held, during which participants could obtain detailed information about scholarship programs and opportunities, as well as at Polish universities.
