Poland in Australia

Thirty years ago, on 15 February 1991, the presidents of Poland and Czechoslovakia, and the prime minister of Hungary signed the Declaration on Cooperation between the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Hungary in Striving for European Integration in the castle of Visegrad, Hungary.

Foreign Service Day 2020

Ceremony commemorating the 102nd anniversary of Poland’s independence took place on 14 November at the Polish Embassy in Canberra. This was a culmination of broader celebrations across Australia, including in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Polish candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the OECD will present his ideas for the Organization during the online debate at PISM on 13th of November.

The MFA organised a series of expert panels and an information and promotional campaign under the slogan “UN Week” to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations Organisation.

On October 21-22, Ambassador Michał Kołodziejski together with other European Union Heads of Mission paid a visit on the invitation of the state’s authorities, to South Australia.

Ambassador Michał Kołodziejski and Consul General in Sydney Monika Kończyk participated in the 5th rally commemorating the massacre of Polish elites in Katyń in 1940 and the Smolensk air disaster of the Polish Air Force Aircraft on 10 April 2010.
