The opening gala at White Bay Power Station in Sydney gathered around 5,000 guests, including representatives of state and city authorities, cultural and artistic organisations, creators, as well as members of the consular corps.

One of the artists whose work is being presented at the Art Gallery of New South Wales as part of the Biennale is Kuba Dorabialski, a renowned audiovisual artist and academic lecturer. The artist is currently working on a film titled Field Report, an excerpt of which is being shown during the Biennale. The film explores issues of identity, political contexts, and the responsibility of artists who, through their work, address the subject of historical trauma.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney supported the exhibition.
The Biennale will run until 14 June this year and takes place across five locations in Sydney. In 2024, the event was attended by more than 770,000 people.
