January 28th a meeting of consuls general of EU Member States accredited in Sydney was held as part of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Consul General of the Republic of Poland Piotr Rakowski introduced Polish priorities, followed by a discussion regarding, among others, cooperation on general security and consular crises. Participants had the opportunity to exchange comments and experiences, which resulted in the prospect of further, more focused meetings later this half-year.
