Restrictions on the acceptance of passport applications due to the launch of a new passport system.

Due to the new passport act that came into effect on 27 March 2022, a new IT system for handling passports will be implemented at all passport authorities offices (in Poland and embassies and consulates overseas). 

Therefore from 4-14 November 2022, biometric passport applications (5 and 10 years old) will be suspended.

Furthermore, during this time already issued biometric passports cannot be collected.
Please consider the above information when planning a submission of an application for a new passport or a collection of “ready for pick up passport”.

Please note that all the other matters (legal, citizenship and visas) will continue as normal without any interruption and with prior online booking via e-consulate.
