Special screening of “Masha & Valentyna” at the Parliament House

The Australia-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group organises on Monday 31 July a special Parliamentary screening of the documentary “Masha & Valentyna”. The event will take place at the Australian Parliament House and is open to general public.

The screening of the documentary “Masha & Valentyna” will take place on Monday 31 July from 6.30 pm at the Australian Parliament House. “Masha & Valentyna” is a documentary by Australian-British director Simon Target. The film tells stories of two Ukrainian women who escaped to Poland after Russia’s invasion of the country on 24 February 2022. The Embassy of Poland in Canberra co-organised the screening of “Masha & Valentyna” in February 2023 at the Australian National University to mark a year since Russia started a full-scale war in Ukraine. It was also broadcast by the SBS on 20 June 2023 to mark World Refugee Day. For those who will not be in Canberra on 31 July, the documentary is still available at the SBS On Demand:
