Several attempts to forcibly cross the border

The major attempt to forcibly cross the Polish-Belarusian border took place around 9 p.m. in Dubicze Cerkiewne. Out of a group of approximately 500 people who were on the Belarusian side, over 200 people crossed the border. They were detained and brought to the border line. The foreigners were aggressive, they threw stones and firecrackers. Belarusian services used lasers and flashlights. A special platform made of planks was prepared, which was thrown over the fence to facilitate the crossing of the border. There were several Belarusian soldiers on the Belarusian side at that time. Border Guard officers called for medical assistance to be provided to a family of Iraqi citizens (with three children).

Further attempts at crossing the Polish-Belarusian border took place at the sections protected by the Border Guard stations in Mielnik, Czeremcha and Szudziałowo. There were also aggressive groups of 30, 40 and 10 people who were throwing stones and shouting. They did not cross the border.

In Sławatycze, in the operation area of the Bug River Border Guard Unit, Border Guard officers noticed three people swimming in a dinghy on the Bug River, on the Belarusian side. Upon seeing the patrols, they turned back. A group of approximately 20 foreigners was waiting on the bank. They all went back into the territory of Belarus.
