Poland in the Council of Europe

On January 24-25, 2021, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak paid an official visit to Strasbourg.

On December 13, 2021 was the 40th anniversary of the introduction of martial law in Poland.

On December 8th, during the meeting of the Committee of Ministers' Delegates in the Council of Europe, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the Council of Europe, Jerzy Baurski, delivered a speech on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Poland's membership in this organization.

On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the Council of Europe, Jerzy Baurski and his wife, gave a ceremonial reception, preceded by a concert of outstanding artists of the Polish music scene: Ms Renata Żełobowska-Orzechowska - piano, Ms Iwona Socha - soprano and Mr Jakub Oczkowski - tenor.

On 26th November 2021 was the 30th anniversary of Poland's accession to the Council of Europe. At the ceremony of signing the Statute of the Council of Europe and the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, Poland was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Krzysztof Skubiszewski, pictured together with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Catherine Lalumière.

On November 23, 2021, on behalf of the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau, Ambassador Jerzy Baurski signed two Memorandums of Understanding with the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Bjørn Berge.

On May 21, 2021, Foreign Affairs Ministers of the 47 member states took part in the 131th ministerial session of the Council of Europe.
