Representative of Poland elected to the board of the Register of damages caused by Russian aggression against Ukraine

3rd meeting of the CoP (Register of Damage).

On November 16th, a Polish candidate, Prof. Aleksandra Mężykowska was elected to the board of the Register of Damages Caused by Russian Aggression against Ukraine. The management board  consists of representatives of Italy, Finland, the USA, Iceland, Germany and Ukraine.

5) Norbert Wühler – Germany

Register of damage to Ukraine, established by the resolution of the Committee of Ministers of May 12, 2023 and supported by the political declaration of the Heads of State and Government during the event organized on May 16-17th.

The 4th Summit of the Council of Europe in Reykjavik is the first stage of building an international compensation mechanism for Ukraine. The role of the Registry will be to collect evidence and information about claims regarding damage, losses or harm caused by Russia's aggression against Ukraine. For Poland, the creation of the Damage Register and the continuation of countries' cooperation to provide assistance to Ukraine are the most important results of the Summit.
