Poland in Cyprus

The second day of Marshal Elżbieta Witek’s visit to Cyprus began with official talks with the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs Annita Demetriou.

On May 16-18, the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Mrs Elżbieta Witek, pays an official visit to the Republic of Cyprus at the invitation of the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs Annita Demetriou.

A concert to celebrate the 232nd anniversary of the May 3rd Constitution was held on 11th May in Nicosia.

Throughout the month of May we celebrate the Polish Heritage Days. On this occasion we present the article “Freedom and solidarity in the Polish DNA” by prof. Arkady Rzegocki, Head of the Foreign Service.

On the occasion of the 232nd anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution, we present the article “The Constitution of Polish Freedom” by Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland, including the Consular Section, will be closed on 1st and 3rd of May.

On April 21-23, the International Tourism Exhibition "Travel Expo Cyprus 2023" was held in Nicosia.

We present the article “We Are Custodians of This Memory. 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising” by Piotr Gliński, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland, including the Consular Section, will be closed on 10th, 14th and 17th of April.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs has launched a contest for the best foreign-language publication promoting Poland’s history and the best Polish-language publication on the history of Polish diplomacy released in 2022. Authors are invited to submit their books by 1 June 2023.
