Poland in Cyprus

Due to the celebration of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, including the Consular Section, will be closed on 15th August (Tuesday).

On the occasion of the Corpus Christi, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, including the Consular Section, will be closed on 8th June (Thursday).

As part of the Polish Heritage Days 2023, traditionally celebrated in May, we remind you about the achievements of Polish archaeological missions, whose almost 60-year presence on the island is the best example of Polish contribution to cultural life of Cyprus and has a special meaning for the relations between the two countries.

In the morning the Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland met with the Minister of the Interior, Mr Constantinos Ioannou with whom she exchanged views on the migration situation in both countries.

The second day of Marshal Elżbieta Witek’s visit to Cyprus began with official talks with the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs Annita Demetriou.

On May 16-18, the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Mrs Elżbieta Witek, pays an official visit to the Republic of Cyprus at the invitation of the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs Annita Demetriou.

A concert to celebrate the 232nd anniversary of the May 3rd Constitution was held on 11th May in Nicosia.

Throughout the month of May we celebrate the Polish Heritage Days. On this occasion we present the article “Freedom and solidarity in the Polish DNA” by prof. Arkady Rzegocki, Head of the Foreign Service.

On the occasion of the 232nd anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution, we present the article “The Constitution of Polish Freedom” by Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland, including the Consular Section, will be closed on 1st and 3rd of May.
