Poland in Cyprus

On 6 November, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia, in cooperation with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the PAIH Office in Athens, and the Polish-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, organised the third edition of the Polish-Cypriot Cybersecurity Forum - POLCYBER 2025.

On 11 October, the Municipal Theatre in Nicosia hosted an intercultural festival - the final event of the Cypriot EUNIC Cluster's project "Co-tailors for Future”, led by the Embassy of Poland in Nicosia. "Co-Tailors for Future” is an initiative of the Cypriot cluster promoting European cultural cooperation in support of innovation, inclusion, and shared European values.

Poland and Cyprus are part of the same Trio of Presidencies, with Poland that has already completed its mission in June 2025 and Cyprus starting in January 2026.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski presented the Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Prize in Miami. This year's prize went to Berta Soler Fernandez, a Cuban dissident and the leader of the Ladies in White opposition group.

On 19 June, Nicosia hosted the ceremonial conclusion of the cultural programme of Poland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

In 2025, the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw (PCMA UW) celebrates the 60th anniversary of the presence of Polish archaeologists in Nea Paphos - one of the most important archaeological sites in Cyprus, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On June 5th, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia organized a working lunch for the EU Heads of Mission (EU HoMs), with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, as the guest of honor.

On April 29, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia, together with Honorary Consul General Mr. Leandros Papaphilippou, organized a reception to mark the occasion of the Polish National Day, the 3rd of May Constitution Day. The event took place at the prestigious Cultural Centre of the University of Cyprus in Nicosia.
