08.05.2022
On May 8, an outdoor photography exhibition "Cultural and architectural Heritage of the European Union" was opened in Limassol.
The exhibition consists of 20 photographs showing unique architectural objects from the EU Member States and Ukraine. The idea behind the exhibition is to emphasize the links between the past, present and future through a skilful combination of historical and contemporary architectural elements, or the use of modern solutions to promote culture and tradition.
Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia participates in the exhibition and presents a photo of the seat of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk. The building was designed by the Architectural Studio "Kwadrat” from Gdynia and opened in 2017. With a permanent exhibition surface of over 5,000 m², the Museum of the Second World War is one of the largest among history museums worldwide.
The exhibition has been organized by the French Embassy in Nicosia as part of the cultural program of the French EU Council Presidency, in cooperation with the Institut français and the European Union National Institutes for Culture EUNIC.
The exhibition will be displayed in Limassol until May 11 and then will be moved to Paphos (May 12 – June 6), Nicosia (June 7 – June 28) and Larnaca (June 29 – July 7).
