On February 15, European University Cyprus, PEAK Innovation Center and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia organized a webinar on start-ups and women's entrepreneurship with the participation of Polish experts: Katarzyna Wierzbowska, founder and ex-president of the Female Entrepreneurship Foundation, and Urszula Hasiec, president of the Impact Foundation.
The discussion was moderated by Professor Simona Mihai-Yiannaki, director of the EUC-PEAK Innovation Center.
The aim of the project was to promote Polish solutions and support mechanisms in the field of start-ups and female entrepreneurship. The webinar was also a preview of the Polish-Cypriot Seminar on New Technologies in Nicosia planned for May, and was one of a series of events organized within the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Cyprus.
The event was aimed in particular at international representatives of science, business, the public sector, representatives of the innovation ecosystem and startups. Due to the online formula of the seminar, all interested persons could actively participate in it.
