Systems Management Department

Our duties include maintaining and developing registers, records and systems, as well as providing access to register data. Among these systems and registers are the PESEL register, the Register of Personal ID Cards, the Register of Marital Status, the Central Register of Issued and Invalidated Passport Documents, the Central Register of Drivers, the Central Register of Vehicles, the Central Register of Parking Card Holders, as well as the Electronic Platform of Public Administration Services (e-PUAP).

Department tasks

•    Preparing a strategy for the development of registers and records that the minister is responsible for.
•    Supervising the maintenance of infrastructure and ICT systems, registers and records that the minister is responsible for.
•    Handling affairs related to the improvement of the quality of data collected in registers and records that the minister is responsible for.
•    Handling issues related to the disclosure, transfer and exchange of data between registers and records that the minister is responsible for, as well as monitoring compliance with the conditions for access to data.
•    Performing the tasks of the Earmarked Fund Administrator – Central Register of Vehicles and Drivers.
•    Handling matters related to the supervision of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
•    Handling issues related to the creation, development and supervision of the national electronic identification scheme and trusted signature.
•    Managing the Common State IT Infrastructure Programme.
•    Handling matters related to the Minister’s supervision of the Central Information Technology Centre.
