Following the tragic events on Mount Meron, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda has extended his condolences to the President of the State of Israel Reuven Rivlin.

MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCES – ENGLISH TRANSLATION

President of the State of Israel

Dear Mr President,
 

I was deeply moved by the news of the tragic incident on Mount Meron in Galilee where during the celebrations of Lag ba-Omer and death anniversary of the great mystic Shimon bar Yohai dozens of people were trampled to death and over one hundred suffered injuries. I convey to you, on behalf of the Polish nation as well as my own, expressions of deepest sympathy for all those affected by this tragedy.

 

In these painful moments, my compatriots and I join in sorrow and prayer the families and closed ones of the victims, wishing quick and full recovery to all the wounded.
