Over 150 people including Polish families, Poles working in international institutions, Polish language students from the University of Jordan, and government officials gathered on December 5th for the End of the Year Gathering in Amman. During the meeting, the results of the "My Map of Poland" art competition were announced.
Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Poland, Karol Leśniak, thanked the Jordanian-Polish community for its commitment to promoting Polish culture and national values. In his speech, he emphasized that “[…] you are the true ambassadors, and you represent Poland abroad, especially in the hospitable Hashemite Kingdom.”
During the meeting, the results of the art competition “My Map of Poland,” addressed to Polish families, were announced. Eleven teams participated. All submitted works were exhibited at the meeting; some will later be placed on permanent display at the Embassy.
The End of the Year Gathering is the largest Polish community event organized by the office – starting in 2023, it serves to build community, cultivate traditions, and renew the ties that connect the Jordanian-Polish community with their homeland.
