Poland in Jordan

On the occasion of the 107th anniversary of regaining independence, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Amman extends its best wishes to the Polish diaspora and all Poles abroad.

Due to the National Independence Day celebration, the Embassy of the Repulic of Poland in Amman will be closed on November 10 and November 11, 2025.

On 2nd of November, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Amman visited the Christian cemetery in Jerash, where Dr. Antoni Ostrasz (1929-1996) is buried - a Polish architect and conservator. From 1984 to 1996, he headed the project for the renovation of the hippodrome in the historic complex in Jerash. At the initiative of the office, Dr. Antoni Ostrasz's tombstone was restored with funds from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of the cemetery caretaker, who performed minor repairs and cleaning work pro bono.

To conclude Chopin Month, the representatives of the Embassy of The Republic of Poland in Amman visited Fryderyk Chopin Street in the country's capital. Thanks to the exemplary cooperation on the occasion of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, the Amman municipal authorities restored the street's name plaque - thank you!

The 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition begins today. Eighty-five pianists from around the world will participate in the competition, which will run until October 23, 2025, at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw.

The Polish film production "The Peasants" (2023) achieved great success at the EUFF festival in Amman. The screening on September 24th attracted several hundred Jordanians, lovers of unusual and good cinema, to the Royal Film Commission. A standing ovation, thank you!

Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Amman cordially invites all of you for screening of a Polish movie "Chłopi". Wednesday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. open air theater at the Royal Film Commission in Amman.

The Entry/Exit System (EES) is Europe's new border management system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay, each time they cross the external borders of 29 European countries.

On September 6th, the Polish diaspora in Jordan and Polish language students at the University of Jordan participated in the National Reading 2025, reciting the poetry of Jan Kochanowski in the picturesque setting of the Roman Citadel in Amman.

From July 17th to 20th of this year, three representatives of the young Polish community in Jordan participated in the first Global Young Polish Community Meeting, "Polonia Camp 2025," in Warsaw. Over a thousand people from 46 countries participated in the event, which was created with the mission of building a global community of young people of Polish descent. One of the guests was Radosław Sikorski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
