05.06.2026A journey aboard the historic Hejaz Railway took center stage at the June gathering of the Polish community in Amman. The star of the event was a vintage Stephenson steam locomotive - nearly as old as Jordan itself. Chugging and billowing smoke, the engine captivated the youngest attendees, evoking the rhythmic cadence of Julian Tuwim's iconic Polish poem - "The Locomotive".

01.06.2026From July 23 to 26, 2026, the SGGW Campus in Warsaw will host the second edition of the Global Gathering of Young Polish Diaspora - Polonia Camp 2026. Registration is now officially open for the event, which is organized by the "Wspólnota Polska" Association under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland. The initiative aligns closely with the goals and priorities of the "Strategy for Cooperation with the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad 2025-2030.

20.05.2026Due to Pentecost, the Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Eid al-Adha, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Amman (including the Consular and Polish Diaspora Section) will be closed from Sunday, May 24, to Thursday, May 28. Regular working hours will resume on Sunday, May 31.

Additionally, the Consular and Polish Diaspora Section will be closed for all walk-in services on 4 and 5 May 2026 - regular opening hours will resume on the 6th of May (Wednesday).
