22.12.2025Christmas DayDue to the Christmas Day, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Amman (including the Consular and Polish Diaspora Section) will be closed on the 24th and 25th of December (Wednesday and Thursday). Regular opening hours will resume on the 28th of December (Sunday).

11.12.2025Flash floods - a reminderWe remind you that in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the period from November to April is a time of increased risk of flash floods throughout the country, especially in the areas around the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley, the Wadi Rum and Wadi Musa (Petra) regions. We recommend exercising caution when planning your travel to and from the country, and monitoring announcements from local authorities and our Embassy.

05.12.2025End of the Year Gathering in AmmanOver 150 people including Polish families, Poles working in international institutions, Polish language students from the University of Jordan, and government officials gathered on December 5th for the End of the Year Gathering in Amman. During the meeting, the results of the "My Map of Poland" art competition were announced.

02.11.2025Restoration of Dr. Antoni Ostrasz's Tombstone in JerashOn 2nd of November, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Amman visited the Christian cemetery in Jerash, where Dr. Antoni Ostrasz (1929-1996) is buried - a Polish architect and conservator. From 1984 to 1996, he headed the project for the renovation of the hippodrome in the historic complex in Jerash. At the initiative of the office, Dr. Antoni Ostrasz's tombstone was restored with funds from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of the cemetery caretaker, who performed minor repairs and cleaning work pro bono.

Thanks to the exemplary cooperation on the occasion of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, the Amman municipal authorities restored the street's name plaque - thank you!
