Jordanian Polish community at the World Meeting of Young Polish Diaspora "Polonia Camp 2025" in Warsaw

01.09.2025

From July 17th to 20th of this year, three representatives of the young Polish community in Jordan participated in the first Global Young Polish Community Meeting, "Polonia Camp 2025," in Warsaw. Over a thousand people from 46 countries participated in the event, which was created with the mission of building a global community of young people of Polish descent. One of the guests was Radosław Sikorski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. We invite you to read the Jordanian Polish community's report from the meeting!

Polonia Camp

According to representatives of the Polish community in Jordan – participants of the meeting:

We were truly honored to be the very first Jordanian participants in the inaugural Polonia Camp

From the moment we arrived, everything was remarkably well-organized — from the spotless dormitories and welcoming facilities to the smooth daily schedule that kept us engaged and inspired. 🏠 The atmosphere was not only comfortable but also incredibly clean and well-maintained, making us feel at home.

Each day brought a new highlight: lively concerts 🎶, cultural workshops, musical lessons 🎻, and even cooking classes 🍲 where we could explore Polish traditions hands-on. The variety of activities ensured there was something for everyone, while free city transportation 🚍 made it easy for us to experience the beauty of Poland beyond the camp itself.

We were also impressed by the strong academic and cultural presence at the camp, with multiple universities joining in to share knowledge and opportunities 🎓. The sessions with the Prime Minister and other distinguished figures provided us with valuable insights about Poland’s history, culture, and future. Their words left a lasting impact on us all. 💡🇵🇱

Most importantly, Polonia Camp gave us the chance to meet and connect with people from all over the world 🌍. The friendships we made, the stories we shared, and the bonds we created will remain with us for years to come. 🤝💫

This unforgettable experience not only strengthened our connection to Polish heritage but also gave us memories that we will always treasure.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and to the Embassy of Poland in Jordan for making this opportunity possible — we are proud to have represented Jordan in such a historic and inspiring program.

The World Meeting of Young Polish Diaspora, "Polonia_Camp," was created with the mission of building a global community of young people based on Polish identity, culture, and shared heritage in a spirit of cooperation, development, and inspiration for active participation in Polish social, cultural, and economic life. Thanks to the initiative of the Senate of the Republic of Poland and the cooperation of national institutions, people of Polish descent from around the world were able to build ties with their homeland, deepen their national identity, develop their knowledge of Polish culture and language, and explore educational and business development opportunities in Poland. Polonia_Camp is intended to be a recurring event.

The event was organized by the "Wspólnota Polska" Association, the Jan Olszewski "Pomoc Polakom na Wschodzie" Foundation, and the Institute of Public Affairs Foundation. The event was held under the patronage of Senate Speaker Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska and co-financed as part of the "Senat – Polonia 2025" competition implemented by the Senate of the Republic of Poland. The event was held on the campus of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).
