"The Peasants" in Amman

The Polish film production "The Peasants" (2023) achieved great success at the EUFF festival in Amman. The screening on September 24th attracted several hundred Jordanians, lovers of unusual and good cinema, to the Royal Film Commission. A standing ovation, thank you!
"The Peasants" is a unique animated film using oil painting technique. Thousands of hand-painted film frames depict the Polish countryside from the novel by Nobel Prize winner Władysław Reymont.
We thank the Jordanian film lovers for their presence and for sharing this journey through time and space to Poland at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
