Medical mission of the OPEN WINGS Foundation to Madagascar under the patronage of the Embassy of Poland in Nairobi

Between 14 September and 19 September 2025 a medical mission of the OPEN WINGS Foundation took place in Manerinerina, Madagascar under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi. The mission was based in the Clinique Médicale BEYZYM hospital in Manerineirna, run by Mr. Daniel Kasprowicz, president of the "Foundation for Madagascar". The medics obtained the necessary permits from the Malagasy Supreme Medical Chamber and the Supreme Nursing Chamber.
During the mission, a team of 10 volunteer medics from Poland (OPEN WINGS Foundation and the Polish Medical Team Helping Hand) worked in the operating theatre and conducted ENT consultations. They performed 25 surgeries, primarily for hernias and hydroceles. The team also deployed internet access throughout the hospital and helped in implementing an electronic documentation system.
It was the second mission of the OPEN WINGS Foundation to Madagascar under the patronage of the Embassy, following the one in August 2024. The organizers plan to continue the cooperation and return to Madagascar next year. We are glad to be able to support such a noble initiative.
