Poland in Kenya

On June 30, chargé d'affaires a.i. Marcin Kubiak held a meeting with the long-serving Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Kampala, Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu.

On July 1, Honorary Caleb Amisi, a Member of the Defence and Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Kenya, was a guest of Chargé d'affaires a.i. Marcin Kubiak at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi.

On 16-18 June 2026, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi Marcin Kubiak and Second Secretary for Political and Economic Affairs Weronika Mincewicz-Podrecka participated in the 11th "Our Ocean” Conference in Mombasa, the first edition of the event held on the African continent.

The Adam Mickiewicz Institute, in partnership with Documentary and Feature Film Studio in Warsaw and The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz, with financial support from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland, is launching the International Film Essay Competition "WAJDA RE/FRAME”, organized as part of the celebrations of the Andrzej Wajda Year 2026.

On 9 June 2026, a delegation from the Office of the Auditor General of Uganda in Kampala paid a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi.

Chargé d'affaires Marcin Kubiak paid a working visit on 8 June to Lamu, where he engaged in constructive discussions with Mohammed Ali Mwenje, Curator of the Lamu branches of the National Museums of Kenya-including the Lamu Museums and the UNESCO World Heritage Site-and his assistant for collections and exhibitions and adviser on Swahili cultural heritage, Mohamed Hassan Ali.

On June 6 this year we held the Polish diaspora meeting on the occasion of Children's Day.

On May 20, "Poland-Indian Ocean Tech & Services Forum” was held in Mahé, Seychelles. The forum was organized by the Polish Embassy in Nairobi and the Honorary Consulate in Mahé, funded by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland.

On May 21st, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Seychelles in Victoria, Marcin Kubiak, Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi, met with the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora of the Seychelles, Ian Madeleine.

We kindly inform you that on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 and Monday, June 1, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi and its Consular Section will be closed due to Eid al-Fitr and Madaraka Day respectively, which are declared public holidays in the Republic of Kenya. On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the Embassy will be closed because of the Feast of Corpus Christi observed by Poland.
