West Pomerania Business Mission to Uasin Gishu County
28.10.2026
On 27 October, a business mission of companies from Poland's West Pomeranian Voivodeship to Kenya's Uasin Gishu County commenced, led by Anna Bańkowska, Deputy Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The mission’s visit to Uasin Gishu was preceded by a meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi, attended by Magdalena Moryksiewicz, Deputy Head of Mission, as well as meetings at the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) on 26 October.
At the beginning of their visit to Uasin Gishu, the delegation was officially welcomed in Eldoret, the county capital, by Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim and representatives of the county government. The meetings with the Governor and the Uasin Gishu County Government were also attended by Paweł Pijanowski, First Secretary for Economic Cooperation at the Embassy of Poland, and Łukasz Słoniowski, Head of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office (ZBH).
The mission comprises 14 business representatives from the machinery, agricultural technology, food, IT, cosmetics and transport sectors. The programme includes visits to major businesses in the region, large-scale farms and the Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
The mission was organised by the Business Communication Unit of the Marshal’s Office of the West Pomeranian Region, headed by Małgorzata Saar, in cooperation with the Uasin Gishu County Government and with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Nairobi.
Co-financed by the European Union, the initiative builds on last year’s visit by representatives of Uasin Gishu County to West Pomerania. Its aim is to establish business contacts in Uasin Gishu, one of Kenya’s key economic regions, particularly in the field of agricultural production.
The visit of the West Pomeranian delegation to Kenya will continue until 30 October and conclude with a wrap-up meeting in Nairobi.
