Meeting with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Kampala

On June 30, chargé d'affaires a.i. Marcin Kubiak held a meeting with the long-serving Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Kampala, Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu.
Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu’s visit was linked to preparations for his participation in the upcoming annual meeting of Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw. We take this opportunity to announce that Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu was appointed in June this year as the Minister of the Interior in the new cabinet of President Yoweri Museveni for the 2026–2031 term.
During the meeting, the prospects for Polish-Ugandan cooperation in the mining, energy, agricultural and processing sectors, as well as in the fields of education and student exchanges, were discussed. Honorary Consul expressed his willingness to support the Polish Embassy in Nairobi in anchoring activities relating to bilateral political and economic relations, public and cultural diplomacy.
