Poland in Kenya

The Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) intends to again award the "Ambassador of Polish History" award, which aims to honor people and organizations from outside Poland who have made particular contributions to commemorating the history of the Polish Nation.

We kindly inform you that on Friday, March 29, 2024 (Good Friday), and Monday, April 1, 2024 (Easter Monday), the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi and its Consular Section will be closed.

On March 11-13, the EU Ambassador to Kenya, Ms. Henriette Geiger, together with the Ambassadors of Austria, Dr. Christian Fellner, Germany, Mr. Sebastian Groth, France, Mr. Arnaud Suquet, Sweden, Ms. Caroline Vicini, and Poland, Mr. Mirosław Gojdź, took part in a joint visit to the counties of Homa Bay and Migori, to consult with county government leaders, business and industry representatives, academics and researchers, as part of strengthening the relationship between the European Union and its Member States with regions in Kenya.

The economic delegation to Kenya took place on March 11-16, 2024, supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi.

On March 7-8, 2024, the Polish Embassy in Nairobi organized the Polish Film Festival at Kenyatta University.

From March 22 to 25 this year. Dominika Mosek, Consul of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi, went on a official visit to Kampala.

On February 21, 2024, an important event in Polish-Seychelles relations took place. At the initiative of the Polish Embassy in Nairobi, a partnership agreement was signed between the city and commune of Grodzisk Mazowiecki and the city and commune of Victoria (the capital of Seychelles).

On February 14, 2024, the wife of the Vice-President of the Republic of Kenya, the Second Lady, H.E. Dr. Dorkas Wanjiru Rigathi, paid an official visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi. .

President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda visited the Republic of Kenya on February 5-6, 2024.

Kindly be informed, that the Embassy of Poland in Nairobi cannot legalize documents authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs in Kenya in accordance with a new model of authentication which has been introduced for use on December 18, 2023 (the newly established method of authenticating documents by the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs in Kenya abolishes the need to provide a document with handwritten signature and seal/stamp, replacing traditional authentication with an electronic one)*.
