Official launch of the computer Lab at Enkereri Comprehensive School
02.02.2026
On January 29th, H.E. Deputy Governor Tamalinye K. Koech and Deputy Ambassador Magdalena Moryksiewicz officially opened the computer lab at Enkereri Comprehensive School in Narok County, Kenya.
The lab, named after Nicolaus Copernicus by the school's principal, was implemented in cooperation with the African Dream Collection Fund as part of a development project of the Embassy of Poland, financed by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs' "Polish Aid" program.
A fully functional computer lab equipped with over 20 computers with fully installed software was opened as part of the project. The lab is powered by solar panels, ensuring its functionality despite frequent power outages in this region of Kenya. Thanks to the computer lab, Enkereri School students will gain practical skills needed in Kenya's increasingly digital economy, while teachers will have better conditions for preparing lessons and materials, as well as for self-education. Additionally, the photovoltaic installation will power a water pump serving the school and the adjacent dormitory.
The ceremony was well-attended by local community representatives. It featured artistic performances by Enkereri students, including traditional Maasai dances and songs characteristic of the Narok region.
