Chargé d'affaires Marcin Kubiak paid a working visit on 8 June to Lamu, where he engaged in constructive discussions with Mohammed Ali Mwenje, Curator of the Lamu branches of the National Museums of Kenya-including the Lamu Museums and the UNESCO World Heritage Site-and his assistant for collections and exhibitions and adviser on Swahili cultural heritage, Mohamed Hassan Ali.

The visit encompassed key heritage sites, including Lamu Fort, the Lamu Museum, and the Swahili House Museum, offering an in-depth appreciation of the island’s rich historical and cultural legacy.

The discussions focused on exploring potential avenues for Polish–Kenyan cooperation in the preservation, protection, and promotion of UNESCO World Heritage sites, with particular emphasis on cultural heritage conservation and knowledge exchange.
