About us

It is our privilege to welcome you to the official website of the National Headquarters of the State Fire Service (KG PSP) of Poland.

The State Fire Service, supervised by the Minister of Interior and Administration, is a leading rescue organization in Poland, based on a service of ca. 30 000 professional firefighters.

The State Fire Service of Poland comprises variety of activities, starting from prevention and recognition of hazards, through education, research and development, up to responding to daily emergencies and disasters (fighting fires and other threats, providing chemical and ecological rescue, technical rescue, rope rescue, water and diving rescue, urban search & rescue, first medical aid).

We are also managers and core part of the National Firefighting and Rescue System (KSRG) – the network of professional and voluntary fire services and other supporting entities, cooperating together at scenes of emergencies.

For more information about the KSRG, see the bookmark: National Firefighting and Rescue System.

The Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service acts also as the Director General for Civil Protection.

The State Fire Service is also an active international player. Our 24/7 room serves as the Poland’s focal point for the EU-ERCC, the NATO-EADRCC and the UN OCHA civil protection and humanitarian aid operations. Besides the above mentioned organizations, we cooperate i.e. within other EU and UN agencies, CBSS, V4, CTIF, IRO as well as bilaterally.

Our actions involve exchange of expert knowledge, contributing to international standards and rules, cooperating within projects with our partners, as well as sending our specialized teams for operations abroad.

Please also visit our
