Culinary Easter workshops for children and youth
30.03.2026
Despite the difficult political situation, on March 28 this year, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut organized and conducted Easter culinary workshops for Polish children and youth in Lebanon. The event took place at the KitchenLab culinary studio. The aim of the meeting was to cultivate Polish holiday traditions and pass them on to the younger generation growing up abroad.
During the workshops, participants took part in various Easter-related activities. One of the main elements was the traditional decorating of Easter eggs, which allowed children to learn about the symbolism of the holiday while developing their manual skills and creativity.
An important part of the event was also the culinary sessions held in the KitchenLab space, where participants baked traditional mazurek cakes and holiday cookies together. This was not only an opportunity to learn Polish recipes, but also to engage in conversations about traditions and to foster integration.
The workshops created a space for discussions about Polish Easter customs, their meaning, and their role in building national identity. Thanks to the involvement of both organizers and participants, it was possible to create an event that combined education, fun, and the nurturing of cultural heritage.
The implementation of the workshops contributed to strengthening ties with Polish culture among children and youth living in Lebanon and was an important element in building the Polish diaspora community.
