01.03.2026

The Polish Embassy in Beirut once again joined the nationwide event commemorating the heroes of the anti-communist underground.

On 1st March 2026, Embassy employees, their families, and representatives of the Polish Military Gendarmerie ran a symbolic distance of 1,963 meters. The aim of the annual run is to pay tribute to the “Cursed Soldiers”, soldiers of the Polish anti-communist resistance movement from 1944 to 1963, and to raise awareness of this often-overlooked subject.

As previously, the "Wolf Trail" race followed a hilly route near the Polish Embassy with the Embassy building providing the finish line.

The event took place just before the escalation of the armed conflict in Lebanon.
