Poland in Lebanon

On March 17, 2025, the Medal Parade ceremony took place at Camp Shamrock in Lebanon, during which Polish and Irish soldiers serving as part of the UNIFIL mission were awarded medals for their contributions to maintaining peace and security in southern Lebanon. The event held special significance as it coincided with the celebrations of St. Patrick's Day, Ireland's national holiday, which added an extra dimension to the ceremony. The symbolic green shamrock was also a decorative element on the soldiers' uniforms.
 
The medals were presented by invited guests, including representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut and Polish Defense Attache. Their presence highlighted the importance of the UNIFIL mission and recognized the efforts of the soldiers who serve daily in challenging conditions. The ceremony was also an opportunity to emphasize international cooperation for peace and stability in the region.
