The Polish Ambassador and the Defence Attaché in Lebanon commemorate the 80th anniversary of the United Nations

The celebrations marking the establishment of the UN were organized by the UNIFIL Mission Headquarters in Lebanon.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Aleksandra Bukowska-McCabe, and Defense Attaché Paweł Pochwatka, joined Lebanese Minister of Defense, Youssef Rajji, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, and partners from contributing countries, at a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.
The UNIFIL mission base in Naqura hosted the celebrations. The mission commander, Major General Diodato Abagnara, emphasised the importance of multilateral relations and international actions in ensuring global stability. The ceremony was also an opportunity to stress the importance of Resolution 1325 concerning the role of women in peacekeeping activities.
