The return of storks from Lebanon to Poland
17.04.2025
The Polish Embassy in Beirut, together with the Lebanese Association for Migratory Birds, organized an event to release several birds into the wild in order to increase the number of individual species in Lebanon.
Several storks, which were saved from poachers and undergoing long-term rehabilitation, have also returned to their natural environment.
The appearance of storks in Poland is one of the most anticipated signs of spring. In Poland, they can be seen as early as March. However, most of them arrive later - usually in mid-April. We are convinced that those released in Lebanon will reach Poland soon.
