We are launching the implementation of Polish Aid (Polska Pomoc) development projects!

24.07.2025

Since 2018, Lebanon has been one of the priority countries for Polish development assistance in the Middle East.

Polish Aid takes a comprehensive approach — supporting both refugees (Syrian and Palestinian) and local communities, municipalities, and public institutions, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

In 2025, we are focusing on key sectors: education, support for persons with disabilities, and environmental protection. We have signed agreements for the implementation of four key projects in Lebanon:

  • Procurement and equipment for the Father Andeweg Institute for the Deaf in Beirut – students with hearing impairments will gain access to modern educational tools and improved conditions for full participation in education.
  • Construction of covered walkways at École Mar Doumit in Kobayat – children will be able to move safely between buildings regardless of weather conditions.
  • Educational sessions on the protection of migratory birds in Lebanese schools – students will increase their ecological awareness, learn about the importance of nature conservation, and actively engage in environmental protection efforts. This aspect is particularly important in the context of protecting storks during their spring and autumn migration.
  • Afforestation project in Ouyoun al Simane in Kfardebian – local communities will benefit from improved air quality, water retention, and enhanced resilience to the impacts of climate change.

We thank all our partners — public institutions, NGOs, and local organizations — for their commitment to supporting local communities and protecting the environment!
