Poland in Malaysia

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur informs that from December 1, 2020, the conditions that must be met by travel medical insurance for foreigners applying for a national visa have changed.

As we have already informed, in accordance with the decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Ms Bogumiła Magdalena Mischke was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland for a period of five years, with jurisdiction in the territory of Brunei Darussalam.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur informs that due to the change in the exchange rate of the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) to the Euro, the fees for individual consular matters have changed. All changes have been made in the appropriate thematic parts on our website.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur would like to inform that due to the extension of CMCO regulations in Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, the Consular Section remains closed until January 11th, 2020.

On December 9, 2020, on the occasion of Poland’s Presidency of the Visegrad Group (Visegrad 4 - V4), Ambassador Krzysztof Dębnicki organised a special dinner attended by Ambassador of the Czech Republic - H.E. Milan Hupcej, Ambassador of Hungary - H.E. Petra Ponevacs-Pana and the Honorary Consul of Slovakia in Kuala Lumpur - Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat.

On the 8th of December H.E. Ambassador Krzysztof Dębnicki met with the newly appointed Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Hj. Mahadi Bin Che Ngah.

“As the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army, I hereby notify belligerent and neutral governments and nations of the existence of an Independent Polish State, within all the territories of the united Poland” – with these words Józef Piłsudski addressed the heads of world powers and notified them about the formation of the Second Polish Republic.

On 11 November 1918, 102 years ago, Poland regained its independence. On this day, after his release from the Magdeburg Fortress, Józef Piłsudski took over military command from the Regency Council and, three days later, assumed supreme authority over civilian matters, to finally “as Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army [...] notify belligerent and neutral governments and nations” of the reappearance of “the reborn and independent Republic of Poland” on the map. After 123 years of captivity, Poland became a sovereign and internationally recognised state.

The MFA organised a series of expert panels and an information and promotional campaign under the slogan “UN Week” to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations Organisation.
